A useful request identifies the record type, date range, location, report or booking number, agency, and subject name. Add a date of birth only when needed to distinguish names. Choose inspection and copies or delivery of copies, give a reliable reply channel, and ask for a cost estimate before work exceeds a stated limit. The form requires agreement to lawful copy and labor costs but publishes no universal flat price.

Lowndes County Arrests Reach GCIC

City Arrests Enter Lowndes County
When Valdosta Police makes an arrest, request its report from VPD Records at 500 North Toombs Street or call the designated open-records line at 229-293-3144. The jail booking still comes from LCSO. Hahira police reports route to Hahira Police. Remerton routine police records route to its department, while formal city requests use the city process. Georgia State Patrol and Valdosta State University Police each retain reports they create.
This split is easy to miss. The jail did not become the arrest-report custodian merely because it accepted the person. Note the agency field first, then send separate, narrow requests for the report and booking sheet.
When Lowndes County Charges Change
Booking charges reflect allegations supplied at intake. A prosecutor can file different counts, decline a count, or add a charge supported by the investigation.
